Here we have my 1956 Harley Davidson KHK Flat Tracker. This is a custom-built and proven race winner.
The frame is an exact replica of a 1956 KHK model Harely, but constructed completely out of Chromoly. Jack Alexander should take all of the credit for his genius work on this frame. The Chromoly sheds any excess weight and provides the needed strength and rigidity to make this the podium winner that it has been. I have personally raced this bike and have managed to take all 1st, 2nd, and few of 3rd place standings.
A brief history of the significance of the K models from Harley Davidson: Only 1200 KHK engines were built, and in 1954, the 45 K motors were bumped to 55 cubic inches with an increase in the stroke from 3.81 to 4.6 inches.
In 1955 and '56, the high-performance version was introduced. Only the best parts were given to these engines-- hotter cams, and bigger valves, of which all parts came from the racing dept. at Harley Davidson.
The bike you see here is the pinnacle of race evolution in a vintage bike. The stroked flathead motor starts easily and revs freely due to the lightened race internals. As mentioned before, this is a Jack Alexander frame. The pipes and custom tail section are John Penner designs. Included in the sale will be a Harely Davidson racing case (rt case) without the starter nut conversion, I've got an extra wheel with QD hub as well. This bike is race-ready. Period. It is also mild enough to put back on the street if one were so inclined.
Please bid with confidence. this is a very rare opportunity to own a piece of Harley Davidson, and racing history alike.
