Up for auction I've got a very original 1970 Suzuki T500 Titan. I am the second owner of this bike, having purchased it many years ago  from an estate and keeping it in my private collection of motorcycles. The design is decidedly British, but it is all Japanese on the inside.

For those who may not be experienced with this particular machine,  it is not like your typical 2-stroke motorcycle of the 60s and 70s. Suzuki were focused on making their machines more user friendly for the touring and commuting set. As a result, the bikes were built with improved reliability and they were not as noisy as other makes' 2-stroke engines. With its 492cc engine, and 408 lbs, it was a heavy bike, which gave it more stability for touring and commuting. Another feature that I, personally enjoy is that it does not have a hair trigger power band. This bike cruises very nicely and is happy at all speeds. When I do need to call on the power, however, it is there.

The time has come to start moving my collection around. As with most of us in this hobby, tastes change and my eyes have began wandering, hence the sale. This is a very nice example of an original bike. To my knowledge, there has not been any restoration work on this low mile example. All finishes are original, mind you, there is some wear commensurate with age. You would be hard-pressed to find another bike in this condition that has not been restored. It starts very easily with the kick start and needs very little choke when cold. It has all of the right sounds and smells from a Japanese 2-stroke. Please ask any questions in the comment section below.

The bike is sold with a clear title and current CA registration. I can hold the bike for an agreed upon amount of time after the auction has ended while shipping is arranged.
